Welcome to the Olmsted County American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life!
Relay For Life is the American Cancer Society’s signature fundraising event. It offers everyone in the community a chance to participate in the fight against cancer. Teams camp out overnight on the grounds of University Center Rochester and take turns walking or running around the track. It’s called Relay For Life because each team is asked to have at least one representative on the track all times during the event.
This year the Olmsted County American Cancer Society Relay For Life starts Friday evening of July 10 and runs through Saturday morning July 11, 2009.
Because Relay For Life is a community gathering rather than an athletic event, anyone and everyone can participate. Teams form from businesses, clubs, families, friends, hospitals, churches, schools, and service organizations. Team members share a common purpose — to support the American Cancer Society’s mission.
Help us reach this year’s goal by forming a team today! Call 507-287-2044 or stop by your local ACS office at 2900 43rd Street NW, Suite 350 in Rochester, Minnesota (just north and west of the Highway 52/41st Street exit… here’s a MAP.) and pick up a team captain’s packet to get started.
