Relay 2008 Kickoff!

It’s time to get your team registered for the Olmsted County American Cancer Society Relay For Life!

Each year, across the nation, one event brings together entire communities to take part in the fight against cancer. That event is the American Cancer Society Relay For Life®. It’s a time and place where people come to celebrate those who have survived cancer, remember those we’ve lost, and fight back against a disease that touches too many lives.

Won’t you join us this year and be a part of Relay?

It’s not just an opportunity to celebrate, remember, and fight back your involvement will help the American Cancer Society work toward a mission of eliminating cancer as major health issue and will support much-needed services in your community. Thanks in part to the donations from Relay For Life and other events, the Society is saving lives, helping those touched by cancer, and empowering people to fight this disease all over the world.

Mark your calendars – Saturday, April 12 – Relay for Life Kick-Off!

Celebrate …. Remember ….  Fight Back!

Team captains, or team representative(s), are strongly encouraged to come to the JC Penney courtyard at Apache Mall between 9:00 – 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 12.  In addition to picking up team packets, you’ll learn about the new Relay theme, new luminaria, focus on caregivers, our honorary chair, incentive prizes – many new things this year.  We have a lot to share with you, perhaps even a little gift.   J

Come early and enjoy Relay for Life Pancake Breakfast at Applebees!   At a suggested donation of only $5, the delicious breakfast of pancakes, scrambled eggs, sausage, coffee, juice, and milk is truly a deal.  The best part is that all proceeds benefit Relay for Life!  You may contact me or the American Cancer Society office for tickets, to purchase for yourself or to sell on behalf of Relay.

You help to make Relay the success that it is, and we thank you!  Please help us spread the word about Relay.  Tell your friends, co-workers, teachers, neighbors, students — everyone you talk with — about this terrific event.  Invite them to come to Kick-Off and find out what it’s all about.
